Amber Alert cancelled after boy kidnapped by mom from Edmonton faculty discovered secure

The Edmonton Police Service cancelled an Amber Alert initially issued Friday evening for an eight-year-old boy who they are saying was kidnapped by his mom from Waverley Elementary Faculty on Friday afternoon.

An off-duty CPS member noticed the boy and his mom Brianne Hjalte, whereas driving. She was arrested by RCMP in Okotoks and is going through a cost of abduction. She stays in custody, and the kid might be returned to his father.
