Police claim several children came home from GoodStart Early Learning in Banksia Grove last month with severe scratches on their faces.
The scratches were so serious, some children still bear the scars on their faces.
One parent told Nine News Perth their child had a scratch mark from his temple down to his chin, weeks after the incident and she was still shocked and felt sick when she saw the injuries.
“GoodStart staff have gone above and beyond … they were proactive and made sure they supported my child,” the parent said.
GoodStart said the safety and wellbeing of the children remained their highest priority and they were committed to supporting the centre team during this time.
Ms Wharf could not be contacted when Nine News Perth tried to contact her on Wednesday and was recently sacked by the childcare company.
She will face court next month.
