Investigators are wanting into a fireplace that precipitated about $200,000 in injury to a Regular Heights market and liquor retailer early Tuesday morning.
Firefighters had been known as after witnesses noticed a fireplace within the enterprise shortly earlier than 1 a.m. on Cherokee Avenue close to Madison Avenue in Regular Heights.
“After we obtained right here there was heavy fireplace and smoke from the primary flooring,” San Diego Fireplace-Rescue Battalion Chief Rob Hartman advised San Diego Information Video.
He stated crews attacked the hearth and labored to maintain it from spreading from the liquor retailer on the bottom stage to the storage and residential models above it. It took about 20 minutes for firefighters to knock down the flames, he stated.
