Fourth suspect arrested in tried theft of American household in Landstuhl that left one intruder useless
STUTTGART, Germany — German police have arrested a fourth suspect in reference to the Feb. 10 tried theft of an American household in Landstuhl that left one man useless after the daddy fended off an attacker with a kitchen knife.
The fourth suspect, apprehended within the metropolis of Darmstadt, is a 33-year-old French citizen, prosecutors stated Monday. Two different suspects — each brothers of the person who died of stab wounds following the break-in — already are in custody and have been charged with tried theft.
“A part of the investigation is also to learn how the fourth suspect is said to the brothers already jailed,” the Zweibruecken prosecutor’s workplace stated in an announcement.
In the meantime, prosecutors stated they proceed to analyze the circumstances surrounding the tried theft and whether or not the American acted in self-defense or used excessive force. German authorities didn’t say once they anticipated to conclude their investigation of the 41-year-old American, who works as an Military civilian.
In an interview with Stars and Stripes days after the assault, the American described a violent encounter by which he was pressured to combat for his and his household’s life.
The confrontation started when the daddy opened his entrance door on a Sunday night and 4 males pressured their means in. The American fought off three of the lads and managed to push them again out the door, which locked shut.
