Helen toasts 100th birthday with family and friends



A KEEN bingo participant has celebrated her 100th birthday surrounded by household and pals.

Helen Thomson toasted the milestone birthday on August 26 at Hilton Lodge Nursing Dwelling, Haddington.

Born close to Kelso, she lived in Edinburgh with husband James, who handed away in 1987.

Household and pals arrived on the Court docket Avenue nursing house on her large day and toasted the event, which was full with a telegram from HM The Queen.

Daughter-in-law Norma Thomson stated: “It was a brilliant day and Hilton Lodge did her proud.
