Notre Dame DE Hayes (torn labrum) out for season

Notre Dame defensive finish Daelin Hayes will miss the remainder of the season, and beginning cornerback Shaun Crawford could possibly be out a month, coach Brian Kelly mentioned Sunday.

Hayes, who has a torn labrum, had three tackles for loss, a sack and fumble restoration this season as a part of a deep rotation of defensive ends that features starters Julian Okwara and Khalid Kareem, in addition to Adetokunbo Ogundeji.

Hayes has 78 profession tackles, with 14 half of for loss and 6 sacks. Having performed in 4 video games, he can be eligible to redshirt and return in 2020 as a fifth-year senior.

Crawford, a senior, suffered a dislocated elbow in Saturday’s residence victory over Virginia. He’s mentioned to be out Three-Four weeks, which might put him on the sidelines for the Oct. 12 residence recreation in opposition to USC and unsure for the Oct. 26 recreation at Michigan.
