At about 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End) responded to a radio call for an assault and battery report in the area of 710 Albany Street. While enroute to the aforementioned location, officers received information that the suspect had been apprehended by Boston University Police. Officers spoke to the victim who was being treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital. The victim stated she was inside of the garage attempting to pay when she was approached by the suspect who began asking her for money. The victim stated she initially ignored him. The victim stated the suspect then reached into the victim’s purse in an attempt to grab the victim’s money. The victim stated she struggled with the suspect, but eventually she fell to the ground where the suspect pushed her head into the ground before taking the victim’s lunchbox and her other possessions including her car keys and glasses. The victim stated the suspect threw her possessions at her before fleeing with her lunchbox. The suspect was apprehended by BU Medical Police.
Officers arrested Tracy Johnson, 58-years-old, of Boston. Johnson is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on charges of Unarmed Robbery of a Person Over 60 and Assault and Battery on a Person Over 60.
