Montreal police have arrested a man believed to be connected to an attack with a stick that occurred near the Beaubien métro station last week.
Montreal Police Constable Jean-Pierre Brabant said the arrest was made thanks to citizens who saw photographs of the alleged perpetrator and called police.
The attack happened on Feb. 13 around 9 p.m. on Chateaubriand St., when a man hit a woman with a stick. Images taken from a surveillance camera on the métro platform of the Beaubien station a few minutes before showed the man kicking the air, which caught the attention of several métro users.
Brabant said investigators will interview the man who was arrested and the investigation into the attack will continue.
