Suspect seen grinning minutes before shooting man in NYC: cops

A shooter who allegedly blasted a man inside a Bronx apartment building looked like he didn’t have a care in the world just 10 minutes before he pumped a bullet into his 25-year-old victim, according to police.

Surveillance footage of the unidentified shooter released Saturday depicts a black, bearded man wearing a Yankees cap and flashing a toothy grin as he rode an elevator at the shooting location.

Just a few minutes later, around 2:30 a.m., the shooter began arguing with another man in the building at Magenta Street and White Plains Road before pulling a 9mm gun and shooting the victim in the torso, police said.

The gunman ran, and the victim was taken to Jacobi Hospital, where he is in stable condition, authorities said.
