They think they found Vanessa Guillen, missing Fort Hood Soldier : TrueCrime

The suspect committed suicide:

20-year-old Fort Hood Pfc. Vanessa Guillen was last seen in the parking lot of her barracks at the Texas Army base April 22, 2020. Her car keys, room key, identification card, and wallet were found in an armory room where she was working that day.

Tuesday, June 30, investigators found partial human remains in a shallow grave near the Leon River in rural Bell County.

Early Wednesday, July 1, US Marshals, Killeen police, and the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force confronted an unidentified soldier suspected in Guillen’s disappearance. He had left his Fort Hood post.

”The suspect displayed a weapon and discharged it toward himself. The suspect succumbed from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” the Killeen Police Department said in a news release.

The estranged wife of a former soldier from Fort Hood has been arrested in connection with Guillen’s disappearance.

The man who shot himself was on active duty. Maybe the accomplice is his girlfriend?

I’m glad the Guillen family is finally starting to get some answers.
