Watch: Household’s delight as massive pod of dolphins seems off Edinburgh coast


A household watched on in delight after recognizing a big pod of dolphins taking part in within the Firth of Forth.

A nice shock was in retailer for mum Laura Hynd and her younger household throughout a ship journey alongside the Forth earlier in the present day.

A pod of dolphins appeared in the Firth of Forth as the Hynd family were returning from a visit to Incholm Island.

The Hynd household, who had been out collectively having fun with the final week of the varsity holidays, had been travelling on the way in which again from Inchcolm Island at round 1.45pm when a pod of dolphins all of the sudden appeared within the waters surrounding their boat.

Laura informed the Night Information: “We lastly did the boat tour to Inchcolm Island in the present day and a tremendous pod of dolphins joined us on the way in which residence!

“The captain stated it was probably the most he’d seen directly within the Firth of Forth.”

The playful pod appeared completely satisfied to carry out for his or her new viewers and could be seen leaping out of the water, generally two or three of them directly.

Laura, who hails from East Calder, added: “It was so beautiful, we almost tipped the boat with the children so excited to see them. Our lovely Scotland is all the time so filled with surprises.

“They (the dolphins) upstaged the Fringe!”
