West Lothian police wish to converse to this man in reference to armed robberies


Police in West Lothian have appealed to the general public to assist them hint a person in reference to two armed robberies at bookies in West Lothian.

The primary befell round eight.15pm on Wednesday 27th March at William Hill in Uphall Street, Pumpherston. The second incident befell round eight.20pm on Thursday 11th April on the Ladbrokes in Carmondean, Livingston.

The person pictured, who police consider might be able to help with enquiries, is described as being white, round 5ft eight – 10ins tall, of slim construct, in his twenties or thirties, with a neighborhood accent, sporting a dark-coloured hoodie, light-coloured jogging bottoms, white gloves and gray trainers

Detective Sergeant Ally Urquhart of Livingston CID stated: “These had been scary incidents for the employees who had been happily unharmed.

“Anybody who might recognise the person pictured, or who has info related to our ongoing enquiries, is urged to contact both us or the charity Crimestoppers as quickly as potential.”

Anybody with info can name Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 4001 of Thursday 11th April, or report this to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
