An East Aspect girl is going through costs for allegedly stealing a handbag from a parked automotive.

New Fortress police have charged Lacy E. Quimby, 25, of 725 Monroe St., Apt. 2, in reference to the theft that allegedly occurred March 6 in a car parking zone off Friendship Road. The police reported that they recognized Quimby via a surveillance video of the lot.

In accordance with a legal criticism, a girl reported her purse had been stolen from her unlocked automotive. The subsequent day, police had been known as to a South Mill Road enterprise, the place the lady’s  purse had been discovered inside a dumpster, reportedly with $100 lacking from it.

Police reviewed a video from the lot the place the lady’s automotive had been parked, and it confirmed a automotive arriving on the lot and stopping close to her automotive. Quimby might be seen moving into the lady’s automotive and carrying one thing from it, police reported.

Quimby is charged with theft and receiving stolen property. She was issued a summons to look in courtroom.
